Visit LMWT Association at Canoecopia

March 9, 10, 11, 2012

The Lake Michigan Water Trail Association will be at Canoecopia again to present a progress report on the Trail’s development. Last year, The first 75 mile segment from Leona Beach in Chicago, along the Indiana shoreline, to New Buffalo Michigan was dedicated and registered as a National Recreation Trail by the National Park Service.

Great progress has been made in both Wisconsin and Michigan on completing the trail, promising to be at 1600 miles, the longest water trail in the country.

The presentation at Canoecopia is scheduled for 10:30 on Saturday in the Voyageur Room of the Clarion Hotel, adjacent to the convention center.

Canoecopia is the worlds largest paddlesports exposition held each year in Madison Wisconsin and organized by Rutabaga. Representatives of the major paddling equipment vendors will be there to showcase their new products, from boats and paddles, to safety equipment and roof racks, and everything in between. When you find what you are looking for you can buy it right on the spot.
